How about some blog candy? I was out shopping for Christmas this weekend and ran into this adorable acrylic stamp set and thought what a great blog candy this would make. And yes I did pick one up for myself too. I love the little reindeer. I am reaching the magic 5000 mark and wanted to offer up some blog candy. So this is what you have to do. Tell me what your favorite family tradition is. I will put everyone in a box and have my son draw a name out. If your the lucky winner I will give you 24 hours to get in touch with me with your full name and address. If no one contacts me in that time I will do another draw.
You have until Thursday to share your traditions with us. I will let you know Friday who the winner is. So lets start hearing those family traditions. I will only accept one post per person and it has to be on this message.

It is a very cute reindeer! I love so many things one of which is spending Christmas eve at my Grandparents we still do this every year even though we are all grown and have families. it's a wonderful way to start the season! Thanks for the chance!
Great blog. We buy stocking stuffers for each other in the family and then on Christmas Eve we take turns opening them up, eat cookies and listen to Christmas music.

How CUTE! I really should get out of the house more often, eh? LOL
My family tradition - we all gather at Mom's house on Christmas Eve and open gifts there. We all snack all night long, do a Chinese Christmas exchange, and then get down and dirty with the real unwrapping of gifts. It's tons of fun and I look forward to it each year.
This is such an adorable reindeer! I never find these cute stamps. One of the things we love to do is get together one night and go cruisin to see all the light displays.
Thanks for a chance.

My fav tradition is one we started only 2 yrs ago,so this yr was our 3rd. We pick a child's name off a tree at Walmart for a needy child.
It lists his or her 1st name, age and a few items they would like for xmas.It brings joy to us knowing we've made a child happy on this joyour occasion! This yr we picked 2 names.
Thanks for a chance at your lovely reindeer stamp,he's so cute!
Thanks for the opportunity! Our holiday traditions start the day after Thanksgiving by putting up our tree. When I was little, we gathered at my Grandma's house on Christmas Eve (that has changed to my Aunt's house now that my Grandma has passed). When we got home from Grandma's we would always open our gifts from/to each other & then head to bed for Santa's arrival. Then in the morning we would open our gifts from Santa and play for a while then it was back to Grandma's to tell everyone what we got & have our big family meal.
On Christmas day we all go to my parents house and open gifts and then have a great big supper and play games Just all have an awsome time !!!!!Thanks for the chance!!!
Happy Holidays !!!!
Hey, Debby! Your blog is so fun! We have a big pork and dumpling dinner with dh's side of the family and on Christmas day we celebrate with my side of the family. It's a great time!

Hi, Debby! Thanks for the chance--gotta love the reindeer!
When my son was born (14 years ago), I gave him a rocking horse ornament and have done so every Christmas since. He will have quite the collection when he's older!
Happy holidays!
So cute! Family tradition. Christmas Eve we all get a brand new pair of jammies, play a new family board game and sleep in the same room.
Christmas morning we each unpack our stockings. A little fruit some silly stuff and little gifts and gift certificates.
Love checking out the blog.

Congrats on those well deserved hits! I love all of your coaster boxes:) My favorite tradition is spending a day with mom, my daughter, and granddaughter, making an Italian cookie recipe that my ancestors have made every Christmas for years.
My favourite tradition is seeing Santa at the City Mall. He is the real Santa and comes every year. My photos have the same Santa on them for six years. He is worth the trip and the kids and I always take a photo together. You can see the pic on my blog. It is a tradition that I did with my parents and now that they have deceased I continue the tradition at the same city mall in Toronto and we see the dept. store Dickens' windows too. Love it and it starts off the spirit for me.
Thanks for posting this fun contest, Bela
Our traditions are to visit both sets of grandparents on Christmas Eve. Eat at both houses. Open 1 gift each when we get home. Get up on Christmas morn and open the rest of the presents. Start eating again.
I have to pick one? Christmas is a great time of traditions and keeping family close. One thing my Father and I have done for 28 years is to attend a Yuletide Celtic Concert. It started with just her and I, now the whole family and friends go.
With my Kids, we get up in the morning and first thing we do is sing "happy birthday" to Jesus.

Hi Debby! Such cute stamps! Christmas night after the food and dishes are put away, we sit and talk about what important things happened in our life the past year. We record this every year, and after we are done, we listen to the tape from the year before. We did this when i was growing up and i have carried on the tradition. Its fun and sad to hear my grandparents voices, my dads voice. My kids love this. I know they to will carry on this tradition.

Hi Debby ... great idea, and I love this set! Hope this isn't too long ... Our favorite Christmas tradition, other than celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior, was for my daughters to open one gift on Christmas Eve, and this was always a new nightie or pj's ... because everyone knows you sleep better in new nightwear! Both my girls have children of their own now (total of 9 grandkids) and they do the same thing. I love it when they pass down the traditions we started years ago. Another thing I do is to bake cookies and make candies with my grandsons that live nearby. This is always a super time for us all, and the boys, ages 13 to 17, start asking me in September when we can schedule it. Maybe we need to do it more often, huh! Hugs, Sassy Shirley
My very favorite tradition is on Christmas Eve when my step-daughters, grandchildren (6 of them with another on the way!) and my only natural child (8yo miracle boy) are all around, is to read from the Bible the telling of the glorious birth of our Lord and Savior!
Love that cute reindeer. Thanks for the chance at having him for myself.
Blessings,
Beth
Love the stamps and really enjoy your blog. When my kids where little, we started letting them open one present on Christmas eve. They are all grown know and do the same with their children. However, we are starting a new tradition this yr, I am having each of my grandchildren make a small gingerbread house on Christmas day. We currently have 17 (expecting 2 more in a few weeks) So we will have lots of gingerbread houses over the yrs.
We start our Christmas the day after Thanksgiving w/ Christmas music. A local radio station plays Christmas music all day. On Christmas Eve, my daughters and I make cookies for Santa (my husband eats half the dough) and make reindeer food for the reindeer. Then we play games until bedtime.
Every year, we got to open ONE present on Christmas Eve and we never got to choose which one. It was ALWAYS new jammies. That way, you would be wearing cute new jammies for all the pictures and videos taken Christmas morning! Now that I'm a mom, it's a tradition we've carried on to my child and hope it's one that will be carried for many generations to come!
A tradition we recently started was baking cookies with my MIL and SIL. We do it about a week or two before Christmas to give out as gifts to teachers and mail carriers etc. It has been fun working together in this way. Thanks for offering the blog candy.

My favorite thing about Christmas is getting together with all my brothers and their families and my mom and son and his wife. It is something we have done always but this year will be a first as I have to work so.......we are not getting together with my brothers, etc. My son, his wife, and my mom will be to our house Christmas Eve Day. It will definitely be different.

My favorite family tradition is getting pizza on Christmas Eve! I love that I don't have to cook after church and we can just have our meal deliverd to us while we're laying out cookies for Santa and carrots for Reindeer! I love that little set, it'd be perfect for scrapbooking!

On Christmas Eve we eat either pizza or chinese food - a tradition from my husband's family that I initially wasn't too excited about, but it's become ours now! THanks for the blog candy...pretty cute!

We get together and have a cookie swap with close friends in our neighborhood, and divide up, so that each family has a dozen to try out. In addition we bring goodies, and make fruit and gift baskets for our elderly neighbors, and then team up and go out and distribute them. It makes for a wonderful beginning to the holidays
Great job on the things you have been doing.
Keep up the good work and looking forward the next one you do.
Happy holidays and looking forward to next year.
LuJean
we have a little holiday stuffed animal, we hide him "in plain sight" if you find him you have to hide him again. We do this all through the holiday season.
Love the reindeer. My favorite tradition is the throwing out the reindeer food on Chritmas eve so Santa can find out house!

Hi Debby!
Love your blog! Our Christmas tradition is to cut our own Christmas tree, but there MUST be snow on the ground when we do it. SOme years it might be CHristmas Eve when the criteria are finally met, but we do it together, and I have the movies to prove it!

Our family has an elf that visits one week before Christmas. He gets into mischief during the night. Unless dad happens to get a page at 1:40am like last night. The elf always goes home w/ Santa.
I always spend Christmas w/ my parents, sister, & my hubby/kids the weekend before Christmas. That way we aren't all rushed to spend a full day w/ my family & I still get to share in the morning Christmas fun w/ my kids/hubby & then onto his parents for a big morning breakfast.
The day after Christmas I always go shopping to hit the sales w/ my Mother in law. Dinner that night most of the time to celebrate my anniversary (16 yrs this Dec 26th) w/ hubby.
