Anyway, we was in Alexandria, MN for an appointment earlier this week and found the Dollar District store. I was in heaven with the stamping and scrapping supplies they had. The designer paper on this card is from the Dollar District and I just love it. Picked up a couple of sheets along with some matching ones to go with it. Found a bunch of goodies and you will be seeing them as I post too.
A lot of you have been making the Gift Card Holder Cards and I thought I would jump in on the band wagon on that too. So here is my sample and a blog to show you how to make them. I followed the directions for this on Dawn's Stamping Spot. She has really good tutorial and some pictures for you too. Instead of doing the band of card stock around mine though I used SU's Choc. Chip Satin Ribbon. Love this stuff it is so easy to work with. I messed up on the saying at the bottom though. I hate when you get a project almost done then do that. But when I stamped the saying it had ink on the edge and I didn't catch it and it left a shadow on the end of the saying. Grrrr! I hate when that happens. Here is a picture of the inside of mine also. I only scanned one side as the other looks the same.
So lets get on with the supplies needed:
Designer Paper of choice Cut at 3 7/8 x 2 6/8, You need 3 of these.
Choc. Chip cut at 4 x 3. You need 3 of these.
Pretty in Pink cut at 4 1/4 x 11.
Punch a Choc. Chip Scalloped Circle and a smaller one done in white.
Image is from House Mouse and stamped with Stazon, then colored in with Gamsol and colored pencils.
Choc. Chip Satin Ribbon is cut at 6 1/2 inches.
I cut a slit in the choc. chip scalloped piece for the ribbon to slide through. You will need to cut so it is under the image. When your ribbon is weaved through this tape ended together in the back of this piece.
White Gel pen around the edges of the choc. chip scalloped circle.
Stamp a small saying at the bottom.
Otherwise follow the directions on the video that Dawn did and you can complete this project in no time. I think on the inside I will stamp Happy Birthday in Choc. Chip Ink, but until I get to the point of giving it I will wait on that.
Hope you enjoyed the project today.
Angel hugs
