Hi, Debby, Happy Mother's Day. Thanks for sharing with us. zone of the things I fondly remember about my childhood is making Christmas cookies with my mom. We would use a cookie press and colored sugar and other toppings to make beautiful star and Christmas tree shaped cookies to share with everyone we knew. She was always so kind and gentle as she taught little hands to work in the kitchen.

Hi Debby
Happy Mother's Day
My mother loved Christmas and spent hours baking, decorating, and no matter how rich or poor we were there were always presents and family dinners. At the time I didn't appreciate it but sure miss them now that my parents are gone.

My mom taught me how to knit, finally, when I was about 7 or 8. Until then, whenever she was knitting, I sat at her feet and wound yarn around needles and then back into a ball....repeat. We still knit together. Happy Mother's Day!

There are so many things, but one I remember and miss the most is our Friday family pizza night. She would do everything from scratch and my job was grating the cheese. I had 4 brothers and 2 sisters, so there was a lot of cheese to be grated and alot of taste testing. Thanks for bringing that memory to mind. Happy Mothers Day!

What a nice blog you have. Happy Mothers Day to you also! My favorite memories of Mom on Mothers day were the tears she would cry when she opened up those hand crafted AshTrays that we always created at school in our art class. Even though it was the same design each and every holiday, she loved them. I never understood why until my own kids started to bring home those treasures to me from school. They are my favorite things! Thanks again, Hugs Lourin

Happy Mother's Day, Debby! :)
One thing I liked about my childhood was making homemade soya bean milk with my mother. Boiling the beans, straining the milk and all. It was fun :) I loved it! Thanks for the chance to win your blog candy.

Thanks for the chance to share special memories as well as this sweet candy :0) I always get a warm, fuzzy feeling when I think of my mom when I was growing up. I am just so thankful that we had and still have a wonderful relationship.

Yay! I got out of the hospital to make it for your blog candy!
The thing I remember the most when I was a child,is when we'd go out and visit my aunts and uncles. My parents would play cards and stay late, and everytime we'd leave to come back home by Mom would put me on her lap with a blankie (back then seatbelts laws were'nt like tody) and it felt so warm...I would sleep all the way back home. Then she would put be in bed and kiss me goodnight.

Thanks for the chance at the awesome prize Deb!

I was thinking of my mom as I taught my class how to make kleenix tissue flowers! We make them in Brownies when I was growing up and then we had a mother/daughter tea and gave them to our mothers to wear. I remember spraying perfume on mine so it would smeel good. I know she just loved it. Now I go to jazzercise class with her when I go to visit her 270 miles away and she is 88 years old!!

Thanks for the chance to win.

My mother has taught me so much and I am very grateful for it.
I loved it, if my mother brushed my long hair.

I always think of cooking with my mom. She is a fabulous cook and I was always in there "helping". My mom has always been my best friend - there for me with advice and help no matter what.

Being one of 8 children, there are many "Mom" moments. Overall what stands out is my Mother's ability to laugh at herself and to take whatever came, good or bad, as God's will. I miss her terribly.

What great blog candy! My mother gave me much love, faith, and a creative spirit. She would paint illustrations of my nursery rhymes, she made rag dolls, clothes pin dolls, and stuffed animals (always without a pattern). She painted images of the family on our picture window each Christmas and made snow sculptures of bears, elephants and many other animals. She decorated cakes for the family with a paint brush and cut marshmallows and gum drops. She handpainted ties for the men in the family. She could create anything and continued making toys for my children until it became difficult for her to see. She was a crafter before it became "popular" and contributed greatly to my interst in all artistic things.

Hi Deb,
My best memory is when mom protected me from a bear that was outside our car and between us and the cabin we were staying at when we went to wyoming when i was in first grade.
