Tart and Tandy

I am feeling better today and at least able to move my arm enough to stamp. I had surgery about a year and a half ago for a ruptured disc in my spine. They went through the front of my neck to replace the disc. Anyway, that has really been bothering me lately where that disc was that was replaced. Plus my arm and shoulder was acting up because of it. Beings it was on the right side it was difficult for me to stamp as I am a right handed person all the way. So hopefully it is going to continue to feel better so I can play.
I got inspired from Denise Mohr. She sent me a RAK today from VC. VC is Virtual Convention on the Internet for those SU demos that can't go to convention and the ones that love SU period. Really fun group, they have a faux hotel, swaps and all kinds of fun things going on just like you was really there. This is my 5 or 6th year of being on this fun group. So thanks Denise. I am going to show her card and the one I made as I loved it so much I wanted to case it but didn't want to copy completely so put my own touches to it. Denise's is done with Strawberries and so cute and mine is the one done with orange slices.
Supplies needed:
Only Orange and Whisper White Card stock
Only Orange and Craft White Ink Pads
Ribbon of choice.
Scalloped punch I used the smallest one and then cut out my oranges and added to the scallops that way.
Crystal Effects for the orange slices
Tart and Tandy SU Stamp Set and Friendship Blooms SU stamp set
Orange Gel Pen or Marker
Directions:
Cut card stock (Only Orange) the long way at 4 1/4 x 11 fold in half and score one end at 1 1/4 inches. Cut a strip of WW at 4 1/4 by 1 1/4.
With Craft White Ink pad stamp the swirls from the Friendship blooms stamp set in various places on the front of the card and on the flap of the card. Then one image on the bottom of the right corner of the inside of the card. Set aside to dry as craft ink takes longer to dry.
Stamp orange slices on WW card stock and cut out. I did 4 oranges and got 2 pieces out of one.
Punch out 4 scalloped circles and mount orange slices to this. Add orange dots in scallops. With Crystal Effects add to the orange slices and set aside to dry.
Back to your main card, add your strip of WW to the inside of the flap. Only leave about an 1/8 to 1/4 inch sticking out. Add orange dots to this. Add ribbon to the flap.
Now with the orange slices dry place randomly on card. You will be cutting some off that goes over the edges, these pieces are really good for nothing so just throw those extras out. With the ones that go under the flap if you do it just right you can get both sides done with one piece. See samples for placement. Now glue down your flap and add a saying to the inside and your done.
So easy and such a cute card. These work up rather quickly even with the Crystal Effects waiting on it to dry. Not sure why my orange slices look dirty but they match the card perfect IRL.
If anyone is interested in joining VC this you can join by going to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/vc_rocks/
Hope you enjoyed the project for today and thanks for sticking with me while I posted very little.

Angel hugs
